A Vision for the City

Joining God’s
Work in Nairobi

Welcome to OCC: More Than a Church, A Movement. Look around our city. Nairobi pulses with energy, ambition, and growth. Yet beneath the vibrant surface, there is a deep, often unspoken, hunger… a longing for purpose, for connection, for life that is more than just existing.

People are consuming everything the world offers, success, busyness, pleasure, comfort, yet still feeling empty, as if living on a diet of spiritual junk food. We are not merely a gathering; we are a people called to participate in changing the spiritual landscape of Nairobi. This is our great commission and our great joy.

We create environments where people can truly encounter the life-giving presence of Jesus, grow into mature, joyful disciples, and step into their calling to live on mission right where they are.

Community in Nairobi

The Bread of Life

Jesus Christ, the true “Bread of Life,” is the only answer to this city’s deepest hunger.

Our Statement of Faith

What We
Believe

The Person of Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, His sinless life, His sacrificial death on the cross, and His literal, bodily resurrection.

The Holy Scriptures

We believe in the Bible, the inspired and infallible Word of God, as our supreme authority for faith and life.

The Blessed Hope

We believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ in power and glory.

The Resurrection

We believe that we shall rise together with Him in Glory to experience the fullness of His presence for eternity.

The Bread of Life

We believe that Jesus Christ, the true "Bread of Life," is the only answer to this city’s deepest hunger.

Our Framework

The Rhythm
of Life

To live out this calling, we move in a dynamic, three-part rhythm: UP, IN, and OUT. This isn’t just a model; it’s the heartbeat of a disciple and the blueprint for a healthy, transformative church.

UP

Love God wholeheartedly through worship, prayer, surrender, and Scripture.

IN

Love people intentionally through family, discipleship, care, and shared life.

OUT

Participate in God’s mission by serving Nairobi with courage, compassion, and purpose.

Find Your Place in the Movement

Come, bring your hunger, your gifts, and your story. There is room for you here as we love God, love people, and serve the city together.
